DINING OPTIONS AT THE STANWICH CLUB

As we move into the winter months, we move our dining operations from the Patio into the Clubhouse.  With that come several options for where the membership can dine.  Along with renewed dining spaces, we also have new seasonal menus and a refreshed cocktail and wine list to enhance the offerings.

The Grill Room will be available for Lunch and Dinner as a casual dining option.  We have separate menus for both meals, with the lunch menu featuring a selection of soups, salads and sandwiches, and the Dinner menu focusing on seasonal ingredients and featuring fall items such the Chicken Piccata Soup and Tortelloni Gigante.

Dining at the bar is our next casual option, with Semloh open for lunch and dinner.  A special Semloh menu is being served during dinner service, both at the Bar and in Semloh.  This bistro style menu features a wonderful selection of items that are distinct from the other offerings at the Club, and include appetizers such as Clams on the Half Shell and Butternut Squash Soup, and entrees including a heritage Berkshire Pork Chop and a delicious stick-to-the-ribs Osso Buco – perfect for the chilly fall nights!

Formal Dining service will resume on Thursday October 13th, in the Formal Dining Room.  This option will be available for Dinner on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights – Lunch is currently not being served in the Formal Dining Room.  The Formal Dining Room will also feature its own featured menu, offering a more traditional and classic selection of dishes.  Please note, reservations are required for the Formal Dining Room, and need to be made by 3PM on the day of the reservation. The Formal Dining Room dress code includes a jacket, but no tie is required.

Lastly, we have several new cocktails featured at the Club, with many thanks to the creative genius of Sous Chef Derek Yager.  The new offerings include The Reviver, which is a Gin, Kiwi and Cucumber cocktail, and the Sleepless in Seattle, which is in essence the Stanwich Club version of a White Russian, made with Chef Derek’s home-made cold  brew coffee liquor.
